More information to come soon here
Current Lead Time:
The lead time for a new order is around 8 to 10 weeks. Because of this, there is no need to use Paypal to get on the waiting list. Just send an email with the model and options you would like. I prefer this method. We could settle up just before your order ships. Feel free to ask about the status of your order or the availability of your particular model at any time via email.
What's New:
We are still developing the overhead mounting systems. There have been several minotr changes during the R&D of these to make them better. Each change adds a bit more time, but we should have something to show in the next couple weeks. If you want to get on the interested list for information about these when it becomes available, just send an email.
Thank you for your interest.

These systems will allow the SGK1 to be mounted to overhead systems. The following information will be updated soon.
The SGK1 guards have all replaceable parts. If a part gets damaged or scratched or gets resin all over it and prevents good visbility, then simply unbolt the halves and replace that part. Some parts can be made by you or bought from me. All parts are set into dados to lock them in place when bolted together The dust ports are still welded to the very top part to create a good strong seal. I intend to have parts lists on the site so that any part can be added to the cart.
This opens the door to allow easy swapping of dust port sizes. You can order a new size dust port and just bolt it in. These are all the same width now. They are the narrow width which is about 1.625 inches wide outside. This allows you to cut closer to the fence than other versions. Previously the rear hook on these have been plastic. Now there is a steel part back there. This increases strength greatly.
The K1 also comes with a nylon roller under the front rather than a solid rod. That will make these work even smoother than before. The K1 is through bolted now using steel barrel bolts. There wasn't an issue before, but these are just that much stronger now. Below are a few images. You can click them for a larger image.
The ceiling and over arm mounts can be added to this Shark for use when you cut dados or if you prefer using that as opposed to the splitter or riving knife. I have tried hard to be able to cover some saws with a Shark to no avail. Generally on an old or poorly designed saw safety wise. The Shark Guard K1 will give those guys a good shot at safety by being able to be used without a splitter mount. I should say that I think the splitter or riving knife is the most important part of any guard. That said, there are stand alone splitters avaiable that mount in a throat plate. Those should be used in such cases.
The mounts I have arrived at are designed around a product called Unistrut. They make a very large line of products that are great for such applications. They are heavy duty as well and relatively inexpensive for the most part.
I buy my Unistrut parts from Mcmaster Carr. They offer different colors and materials. I think Zinc plated steel will work best for this. It is the cheapest, but they do have prepainted colors available. I will not be providing the Unistrut itself. Those can be bought locally some places or ordered from Mcmaster. They are setup to stock and ship those parts quick and cheap. I will have a list of those parts available soon as well.
It will be a few weeks until I have the Tail Fin Mount kit available for this model of Shark, but they can be ordered at anytime after that. Rest assured I am working to get this completed. They just bolt in place at the rear of the guard. These are the large fin looking brackets at the upper rear in some images. They will be powder coated steel. Below that is the tail hook.
The tail hook or rear locking part comes with the basic package. It is used to secure the guard to the clamp when using a splitter or riving knife. Below are a few more images.
Another new feature I have developed is I am now using slots on top of the splitters and riving knives as opposed to the holes previously. This lets you only need to loosen the clamps up and slide it back to swap out splitter sizes or go without the clamp and pawls. This should reduce the fiddle factor quite a bit. Now there is no need to ever take the clamp apart. I have been shipping these for a couple weeks now. If you already have an order in with me that hasn't shipped yet, you will receive a K1.
